2020 DIARY WEEK FOUR 20th JAN -- 26th JAN

Week four already, and as I write this entry it's expected that I'll have been paid for January which should also include a recently requested pay rise. Not massive but a nice uplift that will help me out this year if I am sensible. Still waiting to see what the net effect is but should give me something to go out with this month as I have a funeral to attend and a drink/curry later with some of the lads. Then it's a matter of clearing down some bills and debt, which will take us till the end of the year to see significant improvement but at least we can make some inroads which is great. Monday was fine and also included some chat with Cathy on train home which was nice. Jenny has a new job and will be leaving us soon although that was not unexpected as we hadn't thought she would return after her maternity leave. Tuesday I didn't enjoy, Liz was in from FFT, but didn't really get to speak.
More and more meetings, finding the day hard to get through sometimes. Payslips arrive and suggests that it's about £180 extra a month and that will certainly help things along.

FA Cup action this weekend so no game for the Dons till next Tuesday, will aim to be out shopping this weekend maybe pop into Hammersmith or Richmond? Check trains are running and try to have a good weekend. Friday have covered the morning greyhounds and see if that gives you anything for the weekend to play up? Maybe get a football coupon and see what you can do. No joy there sadly and as usual I have buggered this month already. Did go out Saturday morning and picked up a few things in Hammersmith but home by lunchtime only to sit around and become agitated all day. Maybe things can improve in the coming weeks but right now I feel really low and on edge.

2020 DIARY WEEK THREE 13th JAN -- 19th JAN

Third week of the year and how we fairing? Not the best I suppose but have been worse, be good to survive January and right now the positive signs are that the commute has been better (no strikes for now at least) and I have just about enough to get me to end of January and paid again. The negative is that I don't have money to give birthdays much of a chance this year, and keep getting letters about debt and payments even though I have always been up to date, and trying to make things better. Maybe if we can get to end of January I will see evidence of my pay rise (so far nothing despite promises to the contrary) and there is mention of a claim against Wonga but I don't expect much from this although anything I do get will go towards clearing Freemans balance (depending on what is paid, expecting under £100 to be honest). So survived Monday, updated other blogs too and having Salads for dinner for few days is good, will need to try and do that more often.

Tuesday, a full on day of meetings and feeling low. Was very wet and windy which didn't really help but I survived it and even had a little conversation with Cathy and couple of other friends. Jenny has an interview tomorrow so thinking of her and hope it goes well. Rested in evening, got a couple of bits in for me, shall see about having another quiet weekend and detox with loads of fruit, juices and water. Wednesday is usually a fairly low key event, at least in the evening I can watch Holby (after the bins have gone out) and we are closer to another weekend and only a week away from being paid.
Booked a date for Nicks Funeral (30th Jan) and will hopefully be fine to have a drink with Mark, Lee, Jason and Neil in Airman. Some good news came later in the week first of all I got a confirmation of my pay rise which will hopefully give me money from End of January to help things change, also hearing good news for Jenny who had another interview midweek and appears to have been successful. Well done mate, happy for you. A week left for us to survive and hopefully this is the start of something better. Plenty to do but we can make a new start of this year, and come April we might even see some positive outcome beginning to show.

2020 DIARY WEEK TWO 6th JAN -- 12th JAN

Begin week two on Monday and see how this goes, if the weekend was passable, money fine and then set some short term goals say next 2-3 months up to April? So far we seem to be doing just about okay, not spectacular and work is certainly causing me some anxiety, but I think I need to just let it go and find some peace let the others take some of the pressure instead for a change. As for myself, well I know that there is much to improve upon and will need to allow myself the time that this will take but the plans are there for the first four months of the year to take me up towards my birthday and a week off. There is also a desire to make changes for the whole year, physically, financially and mentally.

Using this week to get back to the normal working routine, at least the trains are back to "normal" (i.e. not on strike for now) and through this week shall try to be more mindful, eat better, and plan the next weekend too. Shite week though, ballsed up by Wednesday and now upset and feel stuck. No money till end month again. This weekend will have to chill, try and get some salad / dinners in and tidy up (taking Christmas stuff down too).

Short Term Goals (to end April 2020)
  • Get minimum £1000 for my birthday week off.
  • Buy 4 tickets for Ascot.
  • Clear Freemans account balance.
  • Shopping for new clothes a size smaller than I am now.
  • Create a log of my trains, begin with the N Gauge stuff.
Annual Goals (end 2020)
  • Get £1000 available in M&S account.
  • Eat healthier.
  • Reduce overdraft limit.
  • Reduce paypal balance too.
Will see if I can find something more inspiring to add to these shortly.

2020 DIARY ANOTHER NEW START 1st JAN -- 5th JAN

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
2020 is here, the opening entry is a shorter one to kick off the year with but lets see what we might have to plan ahead. Back into work on Thursday 2nd and see how you can survive this month. Did enjoy a busy time towards the end of the year as kept up with the music on various Facebook pages that I help to administer, also chat with Cathy and watched The Last Leg, then having spent day one of the new year getting my head sorted, updating other sites and then to my surprise and delight I tried on a shirt that did NOT fit me last month but not can fit, do up completely and it's wonderful. So that's a nice result and start for the year, hopefully we can continue in a nice positive way.

Back in the office Thursday and was just stunned by the lack of enthusiasm, so am going to just do my own thing now, sod everyone else (excluding Liz, Jenny of course)  At least the trains have been running and quieter which will no doubt change next Monday when everyone else returns to work.

It's a short week to start us off with, so will use week two to set some short term goals for myself and also a few for the entire year which I can try and evaluate myself against.
