2018 DIARY WEEK SEVENTEEN 23/04 --29/04

The lead up to what I hope is going to be an enjoyable week off and will also soon be my 49th birthday (tomorrow). But as I write this the much expected self destruction of all my plans has taken place and I've no idea what will happen next week now. Almost certainly won't be off to Ascot on Wednesday but will want to take up the opportunity to go to Bognor instead to see Sarah since I've already paid out for the hotel and trains whereas I have zero funds for racing. Sadly the difficult part is trying to tell my brother I will not be able to attend? How did it come to this, how when only a few weeks ago I had a few thousand quid saved away that it's all gone and you cannot enjoy yourself. Life sucks again.

So now just chilling out and thinking of what might have been. Still going to Bognor, though cannot really get up to much there since I'll have little money again. Next month looks grim too.

Nothing more to add this week. Same old story once more. Fed up, thinking dark thoughts again about packing it all in.

Look after yourselves.

2018 DIARY WEEK SIXTEEN 16/04 -- 22/04

Another exciting week at work, looking forward to having a nice break in a few weeks time plus we'll be paid again on Wednesday week which will help matters a little. Right now have been fairly okay getting to the office, though my feet are a little sore from standing most of the time on the commute. Keeping busy during the day, as each day passes I have to admit feeling a little better though. Made a pigs ear of my finances though and lost the money I did have a while back, however at least the massive overdraft is no more and the loan gone plus there is money for going out while I am off on holiday including a day at Ascot and a few days down to Bognor to see Sarah and family.

Might see Vince and his brood this weekend, (Sadly they bailed out on coming over so didn't see them) now really need to settle down and be organised so that I can still have my week off and have fun.
Wimbledon playing against fellow relegation strugglers Oldham so a win here would be most welcome and we've at least started scoring a few points lately, plus as the franchise scum are looking doomed we can at least celebrate that news. We contrived to throw away a lead and twice and drew 2-2 which keeps us where we were above the drop zone with only a few games left. Best news was Southend United smashing the smelly franchise outfit 4-0 and they now looked doomed which is great.
Sunday is the 2018 London Marathon and good to all who are taking part in this heat, take it easy, don't rush, get plenty of water down you too.

2018 DIARY WEEK FIFTEEN 09/04 -- 15/04

Monday 9th April and we finally move into the new office building at 240 Blackfriars Road, SE1. Our seats are up high on the 17th Floor though we expect good views, a bit of vertigo and praying that the lifts are in good working order. 😃

Had a very stressful weekend and I don't know where to begin but from today it is clear that I MUST put an end to the haemorrhaging of money that continues to go on and as a result I am having some time off any sort of "betting" with the only exception being the annual trip to Ascot for my Birthday which this year will be on the 2nd May. I go with my brother and few others, good day on a few drinks and will have a go at enjoying this but in terms of gambling I am done with it. My mental health suffers as a direct result here, it is time to put a stop to it now I think that is for the best.

At least Tuesday was a bit more enjoyable made so by meeting up with my good friend Julia on the train on the way into town, a good natter with her, and makes the journey more passable. Thank you Ju's. Survived the week, still really low though but we get through.

The weekend is Grand National, not really that interested though and will be off to see friends Julia, Paul and of course Annie on Saturday night for another catch up. Hopefully the coming weeks will be more beneficial for me. It's also my landlady's birthday on Sunday and have managed to get a few bits for that which is nice, next up are a few nephews birthday and also go them sorted already too so feel like I've a few things under control.

2018 DIARY WEEK FOURTEEN 02/04 -- 08/04

Easter is well and truly done, hope it was good for you, me it was just a nice few days rest and chilling at home. Even when I did get out it was raining, I think that sums up my life at the present.

This is our final week for Croner-i in the Kingston Office and we move up to 240 Blackfriars Road next Monday 9th April. Packing up kit and other personal effects on Friday hopefully it will all make it and work fine on Monday morning. Still not really looking forward to the commute but will just have to see how it goes and live with it. Bought a few things for me but am still struggling, praying something good comes my way like meeting up with few people would be fun.

Really not got a lot to say about this week other than I've blown a decent win I managed last week and now staring down a loss once more. At least for now this is still manageable and will just have to get through the rest of April on what I have. Booked trains and hotel in Bognor to go and see Sarah, her boys and probably her new man too while I am off that week end of the month, that will be great and should be fun. Also going down there for their wedding do later in the year, makes a change to have a couple of trips away planned already.

Weekend now spent following football with AFC Wimbledon playing Scunthorpe really in need of a win as it's far too close to call down at the bottom of the table. Golf is on too The Masters where we have backed a few big price outsiders but it would seem that one of the favs will go in on Sunday.

Need a better week with the travelling to and fro London.
Shall then have an idea of where my life is heading afterwards. Set some goals for rest of the year soon.

2018 DIARY WEEK THIRTEEN 26/03 -- 01/04

Unlucky for some it's week thirteen of this years journal, has been a strange up and down year, and now we reach the end of March with no big money worries (Great) some concerns about the office move (not so good) although once it's done next week we might actually find it's not too bad after all (hopefully).

There is plenty of progress, when I think back to how life was last year, money worries should be over, am fairly debt free now which is great, and while I don't exactly have a lot of money to spare I do at least have some at home for me and money for Ascot too next month. Also had a few days off to enjoy Cheltenham with Graham, John and Bob which again I had to skip last year due to anxiety and no funds. Can look forward to a week off for my birthday which will include things such as going to Ascot for the day and I hope to have a better day of it than I did last year. Small victories.

Having a bit of time for ME to enjoy Easter, not going to smash loads of eggs but it's important to go out there and do something this weekend although the weather looks like it will be doing it's best to put paid to any plans. Wimbledon lost on Friday 1-0 against Fleetwood and are in desperate states in the relegation zone in League One.
