What happens this week, well it at least begins by being paid however that's all gone already and still have nothing for me.
Trying to sort out having enough to get away for a few days would be great but as usual it's a struggle and then there's the work stuff that needs to be said and hopefully something begins to be done. Though some are being told if they are staying or not so far I've heard nothing. We have had a few meetings and feelings are tense and morale is low.
This Friday is a day off and although I am attending a funeral following the passing of my friend Neil's Dad, though it will be nice to see him and hopefully a few others too it's not exactly the circumstances that one would have wished for. So the day off is a trip up to Slough, and we'll see what else the weekend brings us as it's a Bank Holiday too.
Got through the chaos with the trains this past month, nearly finished and maybe we will see an improvement after the Bank Holiday. The next few months will be difficult but no more difficult than they have been of late, it's not been good and I don't know what to do next.
Don’t hold grudges.
Researchers have found that stress levels and blood pressure go up when we’re angry and go down when we forgive. In some studies, forgiveness is also linked to less back pain and depression.
The ability to let go of anger and resentment is one of the best predictors of good health well into old age.
Decide to forgive someone. If you have unresolved anger toward someone at work or in your personal life, try to make peace with the person. Write the person a letter or call to talk or meet in person to resolve old issues. If that’s not possible, decide to let go of the anger that you’re holding inside and to move on.
MOST IMPORTANTLY -- Forgive yourself.
Blaming yourself for things that went wrong is just as unhealthy as holding a grudge against someone else.
Started off as a self help page seeking a change in lifestyle and attitude since 2016, have kept it going through into 2020-22 as it helps to get stuff off my chest, encouragement, mental health and achievements however big or small they may be. Keep the faith. Be Nice. Stay Alive.

2017 PART THIRTY THREE 12/08 -- 18/08
What has been happening this week? Well some good and some bad news from the back end of the previous week, the good news is that it does sound as though there are no plans for redundancies at Wolters Kluwer or more to the point with the new company owners Peninsula who will take over probably October. The coming year will no doubt see plenty of changes though and almost certainly an office move but hopefully still in the Kingston area (or near enough).
The bad side, well as expected, was denied seeing my friend not once but twice last week, the manner in which I am feeling treated is very sad. I made a point last time of saying I am very happy for their plans to move, and the new relationship and all that. But do feel badly treated that when they cancel a re-arranged meeting (that was suggested by them) they do so by text and tell me they are going out instead. Well sorry mate you could have told me that earlier and not mucked me about. So I had a few drinks and got on with it. I think that this is how life will be now.
Can you get through this week...Yes just about.
Better news on Thursday from another dear friend that they have secured a new job having been out of work for a few months now, very pleased for them as they had been messed about a few times too.
Looking to find ways to feel better with myself, after all these years alone you would have thought that this would have been easy now, no so. The writing does help, keeping busy is the key though, and having plans to see friends or family too.
If you are fortunate to have someone you love in your life (good for you) and that physical plus emotional contact can be so uplifting.
Touch someone you love.
Physical touch does so many wonderful things. It relaxes, calms, promotes better sleep and makes you and the person you love feel good all over. Touch the people you love.
• Hug your child, teenager, parent, grandparent, cousin,
partner and friend.
• Spend more time snuggling.
• Give hello and goodbye kisses to the people you love.
• Teach your children to express caring and affection
through physical touch.
As Depeche Mode put it, Reach out and touch faith.

2017 PART THIRTY TWO 05/08 -- 11/08
And the news just keeps on coming in, if it wasn't bad enough hearing from friends about their parents passing away or being seriously ill in hospital, and then learning that the company you work for has been sold off I now find that a very dear friend of mine is selling up and moving away for a "new start". Now please don't misunderstand me cos I am REALLY HAPPY for them and this is just what they need, but the dark side of me just feels sad and lonely now as another friend leaves us. I do wish you every happiness with this my friend, you are amazing and I will be missing you so much it will hurt. My love goes out to both you and your family and you will always remain in my thoughts. XxYou might have thought that the news of my company being sold and possibility that I will lose my job as a result would have caused me much more stress and anxiety, but so far it's business as normal and I don't think it's really sunk in yet. There's plenty of talk, gossip and uncertainty but I will have to just plough on regardless and see what comes of this.
On the social front the football season is underway this week and AFC Wimbledon are initially away at Scunthorpe where they managed a creditable 1-1 draw and then on Tuesday hosted Brentford in the first round of the League Cup where they were leading 1-0 into the second half, sadly conceded an equaliser and lost 1-3 in extra time. The Dons are due to have their first home league fixture on Saturday against Shrewsbury and all being well I shall be there to cheer them on.
Here's hoping for some better news this week, and then make some more plans for the future. Life has to be better than this...
Take care all, thinking of everyone too xx.

2017 PART THIRTY ONE 29/07 -- 04/08
After recent weeks I actually didn't have a half bad weekend to begin with, given the news from Friday about the company being sold off I think it'll will sort itself out and what will be will be. There's very little I can do about that and will see what the coming months have in store for us all. I suspect that an office move will be needed but that's been on the cards for a while and if it's somewhere in the similar sort of area that will be okay. We will wait and see. Still having some issues with my eyesight so trying to rest it as much as I can.
Was visited by my friends Vince and Ciara who were up to see his Mum and bring along their two children, nice afternoon watching them play and a little catch up too. Have said about going to Hastings for a few days in September so will look to book up trains and then sort out a B&B too, if I go Saturday can stop Sat/Sun and meet Vince on the Sunday then travel home on Monday afternoon. Sounds like a plan, and a trip to the seaside might be what I need.
Sunday watching the Grand Prix racing, and preparing horse racing blogs for the coming week. It's a busy time as both Galway and Goodwood festivals are on. We did have a small win on the weekend which helped my mood, but plenty to do in order to turn other things around. At least I've enough to get by this month and book train tickets for Hastings trip.
The football season is nearly upon us, AFC Wimbledon begin away at Scunthorpe on Saturday and then have couple of home games next week against Brentford (League Cup R1) and then Shrewsbury. Looking forward to a good season in League One this year, especially while the new stadium begins to be built back in Plough Lane.
School holidays in full effect this August and you know that Christmas will be here in double quick time. Enjoy the summer. Peace and Love. Xx
