And the news just keeps on coming in, if it wasn't bad enough hearing from friends about their parents passing away or being seriously ill in hospital, and then learning that the company you work for has been sold off I now find that a very dear friend of mine is selling up and moving away for a "new start". Now please don't misunderstand me cos I am REALLY HAPPY for them and this is just what they need, but the dark side of me just feels sad and lonely now as another friend leaves us. I do wish you every happiness with this my friend, you are amazing and I will be missing you so much it will hurt. My love goes out to both you and your family and you will always remain in my thoughts. XxYou might have thought that the news of my company being sold and possibility that I will lose my job as a result would have caused me much more stress and anxiety, but so far it's business as normal and I don't think it's really sunk in yet. There's plenty of talk, gossip and uncertainty but I will have to just plough on regardless and see what comes of this.
On the social front the football season is underway this week and AFC Wimbledon are initially away at Scunthorpe where they managed a creditable 1-1 draw and then on Tuesday hosted Brentford in the first round of the League Cup where they were leading 1-0 into the second half, sadly conceded an equaliser and lost 1-3 in extra time. The Dons are due to have their first home league fixture on Saturday against Shrewsbury and all being well I shall be there to cheer them on.
Here's hoping for some better news this week, and then make some more plans for the future. Life has to be better than this...
