2020 DIARY WEEK TWENTY SIX 22nd JUNE - 28th JUNE Isolated WFH #14

This week, how we doing, Monday needs to get me off on the right foot and hopefully less of the drama's that we had last week by all accounts. Should be a sunny week too so we ought to get out early one morning for some shopping in Tesco? Slightly better morning as have been able to sit down and focus a bit more, let us try and keep this going through the week. Tonight just rest, have a list of things to pick up maybe Tuesday if we can pop out, weather is nice and sunny so a bit of air outside will probably help.
Dropped William C a quick hello too, need to send a few emails out to likes of Jo Rand, and Uncle John. Hay fever beginning to play me up, still need to get out though. Tuesday night should be bit of gaming with the guys so hopefully that'll be fun, but sadly as Richard cannot attend we won't be playing tonight. Good chat with the guys though so that was fine and we'll continue the banter during the week with gaming later on. Wednesday wasn't feeling too good, meetings and things at work, losing money too wasn't nice but clawed a little bit back and paid on Thursday so will go out early morning and get money out for rent and for myself, plus some shopping too. Tired but got it done this morning and hopefully this will be a better end to the working week. Have a read of the things Vince sent through about D&D gaming. Friday feeling very tired, have a better day and drink plenty of water, plan weekend ahead look at other blogs.

2020 DIARY WEEK TWENTY FIVE 15th JUNE - 21st JUNE Isolated WFH #13

This week is Royal Ascot with a big difference, no Royals, no crowds, no fashion. We'll follow it anyway and have Thursday / Friday off this week to chill out ... but staying home. Will give Graham a call towards the end of the week and see how they are, also John's birthday as well as my friend Julia so have sent cards. Feeling very tired on Monday and have plenty to get on with so try and clear a few things before your days off, written up blogs for Royal Ascot and will update results during the week.

Tuesday still nice and sunny, need to pop out later, and if I can have a good day at work we have a gaming night with guys tonight. Work wasn't that much fun, frustrating, but have got a few things in and will go for more shopping on Wednesday after which we can try and find some peace to enjoy the days off at the end of the week. This will also be the last week for Simon Lewis my "boss" for the past eighteen months but he's been taking a distant back seat for a while now and there will be no leaving do of course while the current crisis continues. No sign of returning to office so have ordered couple of bits for me online and then we can get some shopping in too on card saving funds on other card and cash in tin for another month. Lee did another quiz night on Wednesday which I tried to get into but bailed out when it stopped taking my correct answers is rather frustrating, especially when the gaming night was fine. Will skip these in future, question is what to do with days off on Thursday and Friday? Well Thursday surprised me by starting off with a £500 win on the casino bonus which I will try and put to good use today as well as taking out at least half of it. Raining today so quiet one at home and enjoy the peace forget about work today and enjoy the racing instead. Take away tonight I think from Just Eat especially if we can find a winner later this afternoon, not surprisingly didn't keep that money and blown it all in double quick time again. A quiet weekend ahead now and we had a video call with the office team to say farewell to Simon. Not very happy, but maybe the next month can see us improve a bit, still have money in tin, money in M&S account and not using the pay day advance accounts now. If/When the banks reopen we need to be careful. Think about using that wisely and have a few days off in July too would be nice to do something good.

2020 DIARY WEEK TWENTY FOUR 8th JUNE - 14th JUNE Isolated WFH #12

Reached three months of working at home and long may it continue as the travelling would not be much fun and the early starts too would be a shock again to the system. Let us see what joy we have this week from Monday, have already updated some other blog posts for the horse racing that has returned in the past week. Next week will be 'Royal Ascot' only behind closed doors and without her majesty in attendance for the first time. Glad that Monday did begin well enough with 100 free spins on a William Hill promo that earned over £100 which is nice, ensure that you get some of that out and will use towards this week's shopping. Also my colleague the lovely Liz has been making face masks and will be sending me one to use which is very kind of her. Rest of the day was pretty average, so as we move onto Tuesday hopefully it will be a good week. Wasn't much fun really as plenty of calls and meetings, while trying to get myself ready for a gaming session later on in the evening.
Usual technology problems but the guys seemed to enjoy it and there was some banter which is always fine. Probably another one next Tuesday and Lee also has a quiz for Wednesday too but I might pass on that one. Feeling tired and fed up despite a reasonable amount of sleep for Wednesday morning, did the usual calls and then popped out for some shopping as there was no queue. Good. The evening had nice chicken dinner, see what else is on this week and try to catch up on podcasts. Money is now topped up on the Oyster card ready to go and we might even pop out again on Thursday if we can get to poundland for some more things (do it Friday instead), else we shall leave it till next week but then you need to be using masks. Didn't have a pleasant afternoon but jumped in bath and chill out tonight. Hopefully Friday will be better, another week seen off, go out as planned in morning, then be fine for the weekend ahead. Did some shopping, got some beers too, will get more over weekend but this will probably see me through. Then planning ahead for next week which is mostly Royal Ascot behind closed doors and have couple of days off next week too.

2020 DIARY WEEK TWENTY THREE 1st JUNE - 7th JUNE Isolated WFH #11

Week eleven then, and although the Government begin to announce some easing of the rules beginning this week and trying to get schools and business open again it still feels better to be working at home as we have for the past three months (thereabouts). We shall see what the people in the office say about a return but with social distancing and travelling still an issue for myself I'd rather stay where I am for the time being. Monday we have plenty to do so hopefully a busy day will make it fly by, return of horse-racing too in Britain and we will try and catch the first race online. Had a good morning in the end, two hour call with Vikrant was useful and think we made some progress, shall see what tomorrow brings.
Have a call with Vince too later today and perhaps we are gaming again in the next week (next Tuesday it seems). Tuesday is still very warm, need to go out and pick up a few things soon maybe today if it feels fine, we managed to get some things in to get us through the week, including milk for weekend will still need some dinners/lunches though. Plenty of work to do and some horse racing to follow which went rather well leading into the football tonight. Midweek reached and Wednesday have more meetings and calls today, bins to go out, look ahead to what I need for the weekend. Didn't have a good day at all and struggling with a lot of worries and anxiety. Hopefully Thursday will feel better about things, started fine as I did sleep fairly well and was able to access the site(s) that I struggled with yesterday. Will go out for some food supplies today on Friday and hopefully can have a productive day at home again. Government now about to insists on silly masks for travelling so ordered some on Amazon to cover that need. Done some horse racing blogs for the weekend and shall attempt to find something to amuse myself. Read up on the gaming notes from Vince too.
