As mentioned last time we had a Saturday night out planned in Twickenham with several old school friends in attendance, was great to see everyone especially Dave down from Newcastle for the evening and Jason who travelled up from Exeter too. Really enjoyed the whole day, met up with Dave early in the afternoon, few drinks, some gossip and watching the Soccer Saturday show with all the results coming in. Dave and I both won a few quid too which was nice, and helped to make the evening go with a good vibe. Met up with the rest in Twickenham, more drinks, a curry and although it was about -4C the journey home was ok as well. Nice to get back indoors in the warm where I was able to play up my football winnings and secure a few bets for Sunday.
Rest of the weekend was fine, plenty of housework, but feeling relaxed and happy again and that was important. Had also weighed in at work at the back end of last week and lost half of the weight that I had put on over Christmas, so we already moving forward this year in a positive way. Still a bit down at times though as haven't been in contact with a few people that I would loved to have seen, will aim to put that right soon though.
This week it was my God Daughters birthday, she's now 13 !! A Teenager ! Where did that time go, clearly she's been given a mobile phone for her birthday as I had a surprise but beautiful message from her thanking me for her card / gift. Lovely, all these small things do a great deal to help my attitude and moods especially at this time of the year, and January is going rather well so shouldn't jinx it I guess. All things being equal I should be popping over to see my friend Sarah on the weekend too, I think they got a new dog so we'll see what chaos ensues there.
