2020 DIARY WEEK FIFTY TWO 21st DEC - 27th DEC [Merry Xmas]

Merry Christmas 2020 nearly gone
Merry Christmas everyone ! Hope it's going to be pleasant enough and we survive the final week of the year at work without too many dramas. At least we'll be paid during the week too so we can plan a few things for the end of the week, all cards are sent, couple of birthdays over Xmas / New Year and we need some dinners and bits for Christmas for myself. Wrap up the gifts for Mrs Hughes, and then see how we do the rest of the week. Monday, not expecting many in work, in fact only about four, so just have a quiet day and keep busy, bit too grey and miserable to go out today so will save that joy for tomorrow. Tuesday lets see what today has for us, got a little cash out for me can pick up some beers locally later, also been round the shops and got snacks and sweeties in just an Iceland shop to do either Wed/Thurs for some Xmas dinner bits, milk bread and all that. If I cannot get what I am after, can just get some bacon, fillers and rolls and have a quiet one. Not that fussed about Xmas really as I will be alone again, if I have some drinks and nibbles that will be fine. Wednesday very quiet day, losing money again, sad, had a nice call with Will Cheung not spoken for a long time, and managed to nip out and get some beers in for later. Paid some bills, try and have enough for the week ahead, get something in tomorrow for Christmas Day itself, but I have milk, and soups, it might have to do. Thursday will get out and see if shops have anything left, and have some cash out for myself, then all being well you are done for this years festivities. Not a lot of Christmas stuff out there so will just have a quiet one for myself had a call with Graham too and finished the day off all ready for a few days off now. Friday is Christmas Day, and a nice lay in, bath and get ready for a quiet one. Call with Jo Rand was nice and pleased to hear that Margaret is fine too just not sending cards out which is okay. A small dinner in the evening, and open a bottle of wine, will have to try and find some peace and be good to yourself this week. Saturday is Boxing Day and the traditional horse racing at Kempton Park as well as plenty of football, try and have a better day today as you begin to see the year out.
Merry Christmas Everybody

2020 DIARY WEEK FIFTY ONE 14th DEC - 20th DEC

A week before Christmas and hopefully we have things sorted in terms of all the cards posted out and I have gifts purchased to wrap for Mrs Hughes. Then I need / desire something for myself ... bottle Whiskey perhaps. Well we managed to sort that one out too and I bought couple of new model trains, including one item I have had on my Wishlist for a long long time, a GWR railcar in Chocolate and Cream (pic above). I have one in Brunswick Green, bought last year and I picked this one up off eBay for only £40 which I think for a boxed runner is a bargain. Happy start to my week and while I have a week off over Christmas will be getting some track down so that I can give these and a few more a good run. See how Monday goes now, no Liz, not much work on so will find something to do. Pop out and deliver last couple of Xmas cards locally and pick up some beers. Tuesday will need to get out for a bit of shopping as London is going into Tier 3 from Wednesday which might see a bit of panic buying. Pick up some more sherry and wine and a few other supplies for the coming week. Did get some of the things I wanted, but not really sure what to do next week now. Feet keep splitting open which is a worry and ruining the carpet as well as my socks. Very busy and stressful day not really interested in the gaming session later but will attend and just let the others crack on but did turn out fine in the end, nice chat with guys. Hopefully Wednesday will be a little better for us and then have a few days off planned but with my feet bleeding the way it is I might not go very far? Write and post a card for Sarah's birthday, reply to an email from Julia too. Later in the evening there's supposed to be a call online with Mark, Dave Mc, Jason which was ok and we ended about midnight. Then as I am off Thursday so enjoyed a nice lay in, a peaceful day with not a lot happening though shall need to go shopping on Friday I think. Tested some of my trains and all running nicely so very happy about that, lets end the week well. Friday go shopping and get lunch and dinners for the weekend, very little money, find a bag and begin to wrap some items up. The weekend is the last before Christmas, plan what else we need for myself and follow the Wimbledon vs Crewe Alex game.

2020 DIARY WEEK FIFTY 7th DEC - 13th DEC Lockdown #2 Ends

Last couple of weeks before Christmas, and will be having Thursday and Friday off work this week too. Got most of the presents in that I needed to do and begun posting cards out to family and friends. Unlikely to send any around the office, and hopefully I am still working at home this week so I have funds on Oyster card to make a trip out to either Hammersmith or Kingston that allows me to visit M&S, Poundshop, Wilko, and pick up some bits in Tesco on way home on Thursday. No money still but enough to cover what I need this month. Monday was a split day as it's very cold, and the work laptop has given up the fight so that is something I need to request a replacement (will email Derek first), at least the day got a little better having popped out for bit of lunch, and picked up some bits for myself, posted some Xmas cards and then won a little bit of cash which was nice. Wrote more cards in evening and listened to music, then see how the night is and up Tuesday to another foggy start. Writing more cards to post out later on, also requested a new laptop and emailed Derek too, so hopefully that gets off my mind. Loads of work stuff going on and really want to get something done today, with a possible release due later tonight. Regular weekly gaming night with the guys later on which was average to be honest, there's not a lot of fun to be had here. Reached Wednesday and looking ahead to a few days off, if I can see through today, might go out and pick up some lunch also have £20 cash for myself which will also help things. Another £10 here today too which is helpful, and just couple of weeks till Christmas and paid once more. Got Cathy's address via Google search and sending more cards off today so am nearly done, will enjoy days off on Thursday and Friday with few bits of shopping to get in. Thursday get up and out to Hammersmith today, gift card and few other bits and bobs which might see me finished as far as Christmas is concerned, only some food and drinks for myself but I have another week to sort that out. Will have couple more blogs written up for Cheltenham racing on Friday and Saturday, the weekend is a quiet one probably, some football on too with AFC Wimbledon playing Charlton and the final F1 of the season at Abu Dhabi. Also a big heavyweight fight with Anthony Joshua fighting Kubrat Pulev.

2020 DIARY WEEK FORTY NINE 30th NOV - 6th DEC Lockdown #2

Another week, another shocking poor effort from yourself meaning that the next month is going to be rather difficult. Sadly AFC Wimbledon failed to progress in the FA Cup and the third round draw will take place on Monday night without us. No money as expected, we need to be thrifty this month but also ensure that we can get my gifts for Mrs H in and post out sufficient cards. Found the day more difficult due to the cold weather out there, but it improved a little having been out and got some lunch in, successfully got some money winning online, which helps. Will update the FA Cup draw tonight, and also updated my characters for the D&D sessions. Managed some sleep into Tuesday morning which was nice, still cold, feeling sad and alone again, hopefully the day will pass through without too much fuss and I can get into the regular gaming night later too. Bit of a mixed session though, eventually enjoyed it, but took us a bit of time to get involved in it thoroughly. Hayden is an excellent DM though and the sessions generally are fun. Did sleep better too into Wednesday where the lockdown has eased but we are still working at home for the time being, been out again and topped up Oyster plus a few things in Tesco for the week, but that should do me well into next week now. Had some successes on the weekly blog at Kempton Park but still significantly behind, with only a few meetings to go and AFC Wimbledon won their game 2-1 which was nice, the first win at the new stadium and we will blog about the weekend match verses Bristol Rovers. Up to a cold start on Thursday but still working at home which is helping, plenty to do and I think we had a successful day except there's still the financial side to resolve. Ordered up another couple of bits for Mrs Hughes, so just the M&S gift card to go. Reached Friday and will start writing a few cards to post out next week. Have enough in for the weekend and it's still rather cold and damp out there, after writing a few cards see what you can list for yourself for Christmas. Finished another week of work, then find some peace and tranquillity this weekend if you can. Music is probably the key.

2020 DIARY WEEK FORTY EIGHT 23rd NOV - 29th NOV Lockdown #2

Another week of working at home as we begin to close out the year, a week where we shall be paid so that always helps, will begin to finalise my Christmas needs. Also this week we have more football matches to follow for AFC Wimbledon including the FA Cup tie, and I then have Thursday and Friday off at the end of the week to chill out and not stress about work hopefully. Try and make something good happen for you, well Monday morning was fine, in fact better than that, we scored some wins on Betfair and covered few things for football on Tuesday too. Had a little chat with Liz, but don't have much to do myself. Will be writing up Kempton Blog for Wednesday having also been out for a little bit of shopping. Then Tuesday we've another gaming night to see us through the evening. Finding that hard as it's just Lee bragging and Richard talking all over the DM which I think is rude, it was better as the night went on though and Hayden is a great DM too, but bit bored with some of the shenanigans really. Slept bit better and awake only once in the night, at least as Wednesday arrives we are paid and can sort out a few bills and other things. Got some shopping in too will still need bread or rolls, but can get some of them tomorrow once I go out to post office. Boring day of work, updated my blog, levelled up my paladin too in the D&D campaign and will see if the rest of the week can improve a bit or not. Thursday I am off work, been out this morning to post cards to Australia and get some more stamps, ensure that rent money is out too and can pay that tomorrow. Tonight there is some football on, AFC Wimbledon play their delayed FA Cup tie vs Barrow which was a dire 0-0 draw and the Dons winning 4-2 on penalties.
They will now play on Sunday in round two against Crawley. Friday was another day off, bit of a lay in and checking that I have funds available for the rest of the month ahead. Don't think I have much but will see how it goes, fingers crossed will be fine. Feeling cold now, and know we are in a bad way again this month, need to get Mrs H gifts for Xmas and we are done.

2020 DIARY WEEK FORTY SEVEN 16th NOV - 22nd NOV Lockdown #2

Second week of the latest lockdown 'lite' and we have been fine thus far, keeping safe and well while working at home. This week is the last before we paid again so while I don't have a lot to spare I have enough on me to get lunches and money on C/Cs to go shopping if I need it (should have plenty at home to be honest). As we begin to near the end of the year thoughts turn to Christmas and getting cards, things sorted for that soon, will need to send things to Australia end of this month and then find something for Mrs Hughes. So Monday what does that feel like? Well tired of course and the day was one of loads of investigation and issues for clients, hopefully resolved some, and bit more to follow. Been out and got some lunch / shopping sorted, good, now try and have a better week. Blogs updated for Kempton too, make plans for the week ahead. Tuesday another mixed night and don't feel 100% at all. Another day of issues in the live environments so raising tickets and fighting fires, been out for lunch too and then had a lay down for an hour or so in the afternoon. There is another gaming session tonight so we will have to see how that goes, in fact wasn't too bad I got a bit more into things later on in the night finally fell asleep for some time too. Wednesday see what you can do today in truth found it hard to keep going, at least no new drama's and had a quiet day really. Bought a few little bits on eBay and expecting some Amazon / Freemans deliveries too. Shall finalise my Christmas items needed for Mrs Hughes, also during next week begin to write cards and post out to Australia, plus some more stamps then we will be nearly okay. Thursday it's a bit cold and grey out but did get small win out of William Hill and will give me a few pennies for the weekend. Picked up lunch and see what work you can get done this afternoon, received couple of packages from recent eBay bits rather disappointed with one of these and that's £10 down the drain shall have to accept it and forget about it. Evening was quiet, missed Mock The Week as fell asleep will try it on iplayer later. Up about 4am on Friday, trying to get through the week but did get a few more hours sleep eventually. Amazon boxes arrived, ridiculous amount of packaging to clear up from those. Been for walk and emptied bag also picked up some beers for later. Not much work on so keep busy and amused. Hopefully the weekend will be better and Dons back playing football away at Rochdale, then next week more games including the delayed FA Cup tie away at Barrow. Vince birthday on Saturday, and more gaming nights on Sunday too so we feeling okay for now, will want to drop a few messages to friends and family later.

2020 DIARY WEEK FORTY SIX 9th NOV - 15th NOV Lockdown #2

We return now to working from home for the duration of lockdown mark two. Will be off on Thursday and Friday this week although with most places closed, and little to no money available I am not sure what to do with that time. At least I can get some more rest, sleep, hopefully chill out and maybe contact family and friends just to say hello. Monday will get through the day of work, find something good to do with my time, organise my day and folders. Let us see that the week can be positive and fun, still very tired, don't really have a lot of work to do need to scratch around and find something to keep us occupied. Caught the FA Cup draw and if we can get the game against Barrow done (and win it) then it's Crawley Town at home in round two. Tuesday looks like a day full of meetings for us, what fun. Then it's the weekly gaming session in the evening, which was fine for a change, still have some issues hearing what is happening at time, enjoyed it overall though and a late one might help with sleep. Wednesday should work out fine too if we can get out lunchtime and attend various meetings, then we are off for a few days. Pick up a few things for lunch and dinner see what the plans are for end of the week while hopefully get some rest. FA Cup game rescheduled for Thursday 26th November with the possible second round tie vs Crawley moved to the Sunday. Still not sleeping great, up at 2am writing this now, struggling. Good start to the day on Thursday though once I had got some sleep, nice clear day, and won a small amount in morning to give us a few pennies to play with, not too surprised that I quickly lost all that. Go fetch some lunch later on and swap over the trains on display today. Then see what you can achieve on Friday, aim to have a lay in, listen to music, and get some trains tested and catalogued. I have plenty in for lunch and dinners, yet still have the urge for a McDs burger, can I resist till next week? Well I did, and now seeing out the weekend, watching Rugby on Friday night, completed other blogs for the weekend too and planning a quiet Saturday really, plus more gaming on Sunday night.

2020 DIARY WEEK FORTY FIVE 2nd NOV - 8th NOV

AFC BACK TO PLOUGH LANENow find ourselves in November and staring down the barrel of another national lockdown beginning this week, a month of lockdown, no doubt some panic buying as usual and then try to pick ourselves up. Monday see what the response is from work who I fully expect will still want people to come in, however if they do accept the lockdown I can stop paying into the Oyster Card for the month and use that for shopping and essentials. If you are up then I think make a trip to Tesco early morning on either Monday or Tuesday and see if they have been cleared out already, else just get soups, other tinned stuff, toilet rolls perhaps and get home again. While I am fine for this week (except for lack of lunches) I just want to know that I can get in few things for the week ahead, yes went out and it was absolutely fine, even got some toilet rolls and few other bits and pieces in for the week, I think that means we will feel fine about this now. Yet it all changed again for the worse on Monday evening, sucks being me.

Tuesday means two things for us this week, 1) another gaming night to endure/enjoy later on with the guys and 2) the long awaited return to Plough Lane for Wimbledon football club with their first game at the new stadium against Doncaster Rovers tonight. Try and keep busy today and see it through and will need to do a top up to Oyster card for this week. Football ended up as a 2-2 draw, bit disappointed as we took the lead twice and conceded very late on. Wednesday, got in to work to find that the project I was working on is being canned, but on the plus side can work from home for the duration of this lock down. I did already upload £40 to Oyster, but that's fine, also deposited to Bank money to get through the month. See if you can pick up dinner tonight (nope) and reset alarms for later rise tomorrow (yeah). Listen to podcasts, and chill out, good that you don't have to be up at 6am now, enjoy the lay in. Thursday started out fine, we had a reasonable sleep, but it's very cold and rather foggy out there today. There are some calls and meetings about the failed Kentico project, see how that goes, find plenty to keep us occupied. Evening will try and update other blogs for the weekend, we are locked down again and want to use that time well. Reached Friday another cold and foggy morning, thankfully no meetings, so find something to keep busy with and crack on. Need to go and pick up some shopping, maybe bus into Feltham and visit Iceland. Looks like we are going to do a second gaming night on Sundays so see if you can pick out something for my Mage from the magic tables. This weekend is FA Cup football and we should have been following my team AFC Wimbledon playing away to Barrow in the first round, alas our game is off following positive Covid-19 tests for us so if we get through the rearranged tie we will see who we draw in Monday's second round. Personally money is still very tight but bills have been paid and we will muddle through to the end of the month.

2020 DIARY WEEK FORTY FOUR 26th OCT - 1st NOV

Guys enjoying a beer pre Covid 19
This week, having been paid, already done all my money, can we survive. Working at home as usual on Monday and Tuesday, the plan will be to try and have Friday at home too, lots of people off this week as it's half term holidays. Buses are back to normal which is nice, every 20 mins too with the bridge now open will help things. See if you can find something nice to do or listen too, you need something to chill out with. Please try and be good to yourself. Posted off card and money for Oscar's birthday which is end of this week, so that's good, and have card/money for Gabriel too in couple of weeks. Paid rent and bills and shall see where we are on Wednesday once money has gone off paypal. Praying we will be fine and can survive the month ahead. Tuesday will be work, new sprint beginning and then gaming session in the evening. Dark days now weather wise as well as my moods, keep going one day at a time. Got through the gaming night and although it was a bit of a struggle towards the end it was fun, and the guys enjoyed it. Will level up and see how we are for next week too. Wednesday and back into the office, gone in early but did catch the bus (thanks) in a lot of discomfort and very tired, kept busy though with work and aiming to have Friday at home. Thursday was much the same too but at least Liz was in and that was also good for me, picked up few bits on way home too and also collected some money out of my William Hill account so try and level the losses off if you can. Can at least top up Oyster cards and have money to see me through but I am about £40 short on the current account. Not much to do for the rest of the week, have several other blog posts to do next week so will try and get as many of them drafted and ready for them.
New Plough Lane Stadium Wimbledon
Football this weekend is against the Franchise FC from Milton Keynes and next week is the first game at the new stadium on Plough Lane against Doncaster Rovers albeit it will be behind closed doors. But hopefully we can pick up a couple of wins there and keep in the top half of the League One table, must ensure we put on a better performance against the franchise scum on Saturday. Now looks like we facing a second lockdown this coming week for a month, I have a fair bit in for the time being so wouldn't be so bad, and maybe we can get a lot of other things done again.
Shall have to see what Boris says this evening.

Sunday, 25 October 2020

2020 DIARY WEEK FORTY THREE 19th OCT - 25th OCT

Working at home on Monday and Tuesday again, there have been changes to the "rules" but still not quite the full lockdown we experienced earlier in the year. Monday then, enjoy the lay in, get stuck into some work, also plan the week ahead. Should survive till Friday when paid and then need to start sorting out some bills, gifts for birthdays and Christmas, at least have got a few cards and ideas so if we sort most of that early on we will be fine. This Monday will try and get out lunchtime, need some bits and pieces for myself and lunch of course, have got some beers and Guinness for tomorrow and just enough money to survive till weekend.

Was all looking good for the gaming session on Tuesday too, lots of people off this week and I am having Wednesday off myself, so far don't seem to have much planned for it but hopefully can get something done. Awake in the early hours of Tuesday morning, Channel 5 have NFL on but seems I'm developing a cough, hope it goes away. Lacking enthusiasm for anything today, got a meeting too, and haven't been that engaged in these at present, after a positive start it quickly turned dark again. Still not enjoying the gaming sessions, though Hayden was great tonight I was just unable to feel involved, it's not a team effort at all, would rather have got some more rest shall have to see how we are next week but this doesn't fill me with joy the way the others do. Wednesday I have the day off and although the lay in was welcome it's a wet and bleak day out there so going out doesn't really appeal, however I don't have much in for dinners, so I think I'll try and get out later to pick up dinners. Turned out to be another bad day for me, so thinking about working at home on Thursday and trying to regroup, plus I really need to go out shopping today too. Hopefully you will feel better soon enough. Updating other blogs for Cheltenham meetings on the weekend, plus there's football on Saturday then the FA Cup 1st round draw to create a page. Read up on the D&D items that Hayden has sent through, and hopefully you can find some way to enjoy next weeks session better than the last one. **** idiot, another month with NOTHING I really hate you, there is no end to your stupidity, dark thoughts now, I have no idea how to survive.

End this now. I'm so tired of it all I want to go home x

Sunday, 18 October 2020

2020 DIARY WEEK FORTY TWO 12th OCT - 18th OCT

Another week begins where we have taken Monday and Tuesday off so please try and find something useful to do with that time. Monday we have an early appointment at the NHS Clinic in the centre to do the annual eye scan, as there are no local buses H26 for the next four weeks will have to walk it but will try and pick up a few things for today. Wasn't anyone else waiting so got it'll all done and over with, eyes are a bit blurred but we are ok, picked up some bits and lunch too and caught the 117 bus back home, having to walk down from Hounslow Road makes for an additional 15 minute walk each way. Home and try to rest with other blogs to be updated, also need to put away a few items. Peaceful afternoon listening to podcasts and plenty of music through to the evening leading us into Tuesday which is another planned day off this week. Don't really have anything set up for this one, but hopefully a nice lay in, which I did till about 11am then will have a quiet day after a nice long soak in the bath. Received few items ordered from Amazon, including 2021 diary insert so will begin to update that. Have updated other blogs for racing and football this weekend, will need to do some work on Dad's trains one too over the weekend and publish new entry for Chiltern Green. Mentioned the gaming night later tonight see how we get on with that too then it's back to office on Wednesday and unsure if buses are running or not. Walked up to station in morning and was able to get a bus to the drive stop on way home so not too bad just very confusing information and it could well change again by tomorrow. Update other blogs tonight and levelled up my mage in the roll playing games, then try and have a rest. Thursday was a similar day with an early start and a walk up to station, caught train in fine and had breakfast. Liz in today which is always helpful to me, and we were able to wish Claire well too as she came in to say goodbye to her team. Got a few things on way home (missed bus) and updated other blogs for the weekend. Hopefully Friday will pass by fine and David is leaving us so we wish him well with whatever his new venture is. I slept a little better but still feeling very upset and moody with myself, need the weekend to try and rest and recover. Ascot races on Saturday and AFC Wimbledon playing Shrewsbury Town too which will be covered on a separate blog post. Get yourself through the next week, in the meantime keep well, have some rest and try to relax.

2020 DIARY WEEK FORTY ONE 5th OCT - 11th OCT

A week of frustration for me, starting with Monday and Tuesday working at home, then once back to office on Wednesday need to pay a visit to the Bank and deposit funds for this week. So go easy on yourself, have a peaceful week if you can and even try and get back into the gaming sessions on Tuesday. Won't be easy, with things on my mind, but there is horse racing on Monday (Pontefract) and Wednesday (Kempton) which will also keep us occupied. Let's start with Monday and see how things go from there, no money, little bit on cards, could go out and pick up a few bits for me and lunch as well. Did that, and have few bits for lunch too, will need to get the bank deposit sorted really before I feel better but did get £20 back to account which will be a small help too. If I can muster another £20+ in the coming week from the usual freebies offered that will help. Monday night nothing much, have a good evening and plan for Tuesday and see how that goes for you. Struggling with work stuff as nothing seems to work for us, been out again and picked up few things for me and lunch. Meetings for the afternoon then get ready for the Tuesday night gaming session, hopefully better than last week, well it was slow going for sure but plenty of laughs in there too and though I was completely worn out at the end was fun. Slept to about 4:30am as a result, though not looking forward to Wednesday it is important as I need to reach the Lloyds Bank on borough high street. Did the banking, all good, and the rest of Wednesday and into Thursday felt a little better too. Loads of work, new people, releases keeping us busy.
Thursday itself, nice to see Liz, and missed seeing Sara too so have sent her an email to say hello. Nice exchange of messages with Jane too which is unexpected as we are hardly close friends but she's being nice and that's all you need to know about that. Moved towards Friday and hopefully having a better weekend, working at home Friday again and the annoying part is that for the coming four weeks there are no local bus services so will have to walk to Assembly Halls on way in and it's a 30-40 minute walk on the way home so shopping will be an issue as cannot really lug loads of stuff back. Might try and go to local Tesco here and get few bits but at the moment I do have enough for the weekend and most of next week. Afc Wimbledon playing Swindon this weekend and there is also F1 on Channel 4, and some horseracing too on ITV. Thankfully I did have a little success on Thurs/Fri so can play up on dogs and do some racing/football if I can. Then have a peaceful and productive weekend and plan days off too. Lost most of that money so quiet week but enough funds to get us through the next fortnight and paid, also have birthday cards for friends children and will need to use some cash for that. Try and have a productive weekend.

2020 DIARY WEEK FORTY 28th SEPT - 4th OCT

Another week, this time we begin with two more days off on Monday and Tuesday. Need to rest, sleep and stop wasting all my money, looks like another month with very little again. Get out my rent money and pay that, check on Wednesday that we have enough to get through, paid bills and pray you can be fine. Money to Oyster for the week ahead and we move into October so this year is rattling through fast now that the evenings are getting darker early. Much colder too so thankfully I have a new jumper, might get another if I can. Go out on Monday probably just going into Feltham for money and few supplies, then on Tuesday plan to get buses into Kingston and get rent out, something for me and looking for Birthday / Xmas cards especially ones to post over to Australia. As expected though have lost all my money and nothing saved away this month, what a pleb you are indeed. Not sure how it can get any worse for you, just have to keep trying one day at a time. Tonight is the weekly gaming night so hopefully I can pick myself up for that.
Sadly not, couldn't follow what on earth they were up to and dropped out about an hour in for the good of my health. Clearly the loss of funds is having a massive impact on my well being. Not the first time I've been in this place, so just listening to the podcasts from the boxing guys, and downloaded something new from BBC Sounds about Happiness and see if these help in anyway shape or form. The gaming is usually fine but simply wasn't for me tonight. Decided to use Wednesday to work from home as not very well. See if I can recover a bit and cheer up. Money still an issue, but hopefully can get by. Hardly a successful day but bit of a chat with the guys around the gaming and maybe I will be able to return on Tuesday. Still feel poorly so another day Thursday working at home, try and get out to pick up a few things later on. Did go out, have dinners for the next few days, but the money situation keeps getting worse, even when you thought you had a win it lasted about 10 minutes, you will be well done next week so resolve that and behave. The weekend has football for AFC Wimbledon hosting Accrington Stanley but not much else in store for us so will be updating train blogs and listings. Friday I am not sure what I am doing but expect to work at home again and just get through it somehow. Actually turned out to be a better day than expected with a good turn around for me, sent messages to various friends and hopefully turned a corner for the time being. Covered some bits for the weekend football and see how that turns out. Be good x.

2020 DIARY WEEK THIRTY NINE 21st SEPT - 27th SEPT

Still working at home Monday and Tuesday this week but will be back in the office again later in the week, looking forward to Tuesday night again as it's the gaming night and chat with the guys, then also Friday as will be paid for the month and need to resolve some things. Have enough to survive this week and money on Oyster card too so that will be fine. Monday morning vision isn't great, it's also very grey out too, try and get by and get something done today. Busy day with plenty on and have been out quickly to get lunch and few things in, have also tested couple of loco's purchased recently which was pleasing that they both run now and have cleaned, oiled them now need to give a bit of run so set up a loop maybe tomorrow and give it an hour or so.
Tuesday had a bit of sleep, up and need to be active today as plenty to do (still working at home) and have the weekly gaming night too later on. Been out again briefly for some supplies, will need to get something nice for the weekend and with Boris' latest news seems like a mini lockdown due soon so will we see more panic buying like before? Hopefully not. Have also been updating my other blogs too for Kempton and Pontefract horse racing this week, Dad's railway and modelling blog is fine for this month so we begin to work on entries for October. Wednesday was up early hours, not feeling great, really very tired now. Strange day at work as they let someone go in the team, had loads of meetings but glad to get it over with and home with rubbish to go out, bath and get ready for Thursday, which was bit better again and nice to see Liz, but still sore, no money, though bought supplies for the weekend. Evening not great, lost money (well getting some back, but should have had things sorted). Try and get through Friday and sort out bills once paid. Have money on Oyster, need cash for Rent and myself. thing is you bloody well lose it all again already, just about enough for the month though and bugger all else. CUNT.

2020 DIARY WEEK THIRTY EIGHT 14th SEPT - 20th SEPT

Will be working at home Monday and Tuesday but back in the office for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. This week I have also taken Wednesday off and will aim to get out somewhere, but generally it's a scattered week for us and hope to feel better in myself. Didn't have the best of times last week, managed to recover of the weekend and now will see how I can get along this week. Monday at home, helps, try and get plenty done, looking ahead we shall be gaming tomorrow with the guys, and the also going out on Wednesday I think maybe buses to Kingston/Richmond will decide on the day. Weather seems nice too, hopefully sleep will return to something better. Average sort of day, plenty done, still feel tired, went for a short walk got some beers in. Lost some money so don't have much till paid next week. Pray that I can sleep later on (not great again) and that Tuesday turns out to be better for me. With a gaming session on later that night. Went out briefly lunchtime and get some things for me for coming weekend, will still aim to get out tomorrow too though. No money, still, so have to go easy. Wednesday morning, enjoy the lay in with the radio on for a while, topped up Oyster to collect later today, find somewhere to go and relax. Get some more bits in and start to get birthday cards for friends and families.
Update other blogs today too for the days ahead including football vs Plymouth on Saturday. Up most of the early hours on Thursday this week, told office I'll work at home today, seems sensible, not that well. Need to read up on the notes that Vince sent through about our D&D sessions, need two new characters it seems. Accepted the new campaigns but will not rush into what I do, might be one for later tonight and then finesse over the weekend. Looks like I've set up one for a Dwarven Paladin, so have begun some research into what that might entail initially, I know a bit but not enough so any guidance is welcome. Friday was up early and walked to station as bus was blocked in by Ambulance, grabbed breakfast, only David and myself in the IT team so very quiet. Got a fair bit done though, but it's hard going at times and in plenty of pain. Got bread and supplies for the weekend so that will be fine, football on Saturday, Wimbledon in a 4-4 thriller at 'home' to Plymouth though not much else to do but at least Monday and Tuesday at home and paid next week so hopefully will be a better one.

2020 DIARY WEEK THIRTY SEVEN 7th SEPT - 13th SEPT End of WFH #25

Twenty five weeks now working at home and while they are starting to have some people back in the office I was hoping to be here for a bit more yet, but we have arranged to be working Monday and Tuesday at home even when we are going back, the aim to enjoy it will it lasts. Wednesday will be first day back in the office and need to take all the stuff back (laptop, power lead, headphones etc). The anxiety there is three fold, a) having to get up early again, b) travelling again regularly as no idea what this will be like compared to beginning of the year and c) having to be in the office with others as very used to being remote now. At least Monday and Tuesday will help matters, and I will look to have some more days off soon to break up the weeks. This week ensure that Monday is a good day, (could have been worse) have money out for Lavinia Hughes birthday (Vince and Ciara's youngest) and post her birthday card this week. Then we get to Tuesday which is our gaming night and currently the only highlight of my week. Topped up Oyster card and get some shopping in later today, software release today so will be testing then ready for gaming night. Did not enjoy the session on Tuesday evening sadly just very tired, still it's done now and we got some sleep before getting up at 6am for a return to the office on Wednesday. The train was half empty which was good for me, I got in and set up fine, in fact it was a whole lot better than I had expected. Managed to get another small amount of money out which will help us next week, now try and get a bit more in the coming week.

Also pleasantly connected with my friend Wendy on LinkedIn and shall ensure that by the weekend I have contacted both Steve, and Cousin Jo. Have some other blogs to update for racing and football this weekend. Let's see if Thursday can be an improvement on today, have loads of meetings booked in I think we shall just try and be safe. Got through it though, plenty of things going wrong to resolve, plenty of help from the wonderful Liz too. The evening will try my best to rest, and think about what to do over the weekend. Then we made it to Friday, well done, aim to have a good day of it, bring home some bits for the weekend for me. Was a difficult day, but we got through it in the end, home and chill out tonight and then follow the football this weekend. AFC Wimbledon playing at Northampton for us, plus the St Leger meeting at Doncaster although no crowds in attendance still with the rise in cases and general chaotic approach from our inept government. NFL Show returns too this Saturday and hope we can have a good weekend for once. Not sleeping well.

2020 DIARY WEEK THIRTY SIX 31st AUG - 6th SEPT Isolated WFH #24

Still at home this week with the Bank Holiday Monday beginning our latest work from home period, going to have a quiet one on Tuesday and then have booked Wednesday off too by which time I need to have been out to pay some money in to cover losses again. Sad. But it's done now and we have to move on with our lives, make better plans and do something good. So hopefully the Monday can be productive with a review of the trains and catalogue these still, try complete the O Gauge Items first and then we have loads of N Gauge items to list. We wrote up a few blog posts too and have some more for the coming weeks drafted, have also written up a blog for the racing too, then Tuesday will be off to Richmond in morning to deposit funds to bank, will clear by end of week and should cover my losses. Will be back for lunchtime and work through the afternoon but also one eye on my day off booked for Wednesday and will aim to go out somewhere, probably Kingston on buses?
Tuesday night is a gaming night with the lads and that is usually the best day of the week for me. So pray that it does so again this week and then we will see what Wednesday brings, a day off work for me where I should be able to get out and about if the weather is nice enough (quick check - seems dry, similar to Tuesday so fine). Didn't go far on Wednesday after all, preferred a bit of a lay in, listened to boxing podcast then just went to Feltham and picked up a few things including lunch. Had a look at some of the O Gauge trains and written up the listing I have started for all gauges, is something I need to continue with the OO and N now. Written blog for Fridays horseracing at Ascot and will have Saturday's to do later too. Thursday up at 2am cannot sleep again, at least money is moved over, going to be tight to get by though we might just manage it. Remainder of Thursday was fairly quiet, did update my D&D notes too. Then after a slightly better night Friday has arrived, and need a bit of shopping in later but hopefully can have a peaceful weekend. Some issues on Friday afternoon haven't helped the mood and also got the email about returning to the office on Wednesday next week! Working at home Monday and Tuesdays will help, but now I need to book some days off for me to use up the leave. Oyster card should be okay if I top up and use daily cap, will have to see how that goes for the next week then. Weekend has some more football to follow, no money to enjoy, but will keep blogging, write up the trains and also need to email a few people too. Have fun.

2020 DIARY WEEK THIRTY FIVE 24th AUG - 30th AUG Isolated WFH #23

New week starts and one which might well be the final "working at home" until the next lock-down of course. Starting off on Monday 24th with a day off anyway and planing on going out to visit Crematorium first off, then hopefully if weather isn't too bad, get myself over to either Richmond or Kingston on the buses having first topped up my Oyster card too. Things to get, but nice to just chill out somewhere.
Richmond Surrey, day out and relax
Many more people are coming back in the office this week but I know Liz and I haven't been told anything definite so hopefully we are still working at home the rest of the week. Will ensure that Monday is a good day out, get some shopping done, and pick up birthday cards for the next few months that I need plus try and find somewhere to chill out and have some lunch. Then try hard not to look at emails or slack till Tuesday for me. Have already had a bad start to the month losing all my money, this is bad and we will struggle again till September. Tuesday will be a pivotal day for us and then in the evening will have some gaming and chat with the guys which hopefully will be enjoyable. Booked some time off for next week too and then we have to pray that we can make some changes in behaviour and lifestyle. Liz (work colleague) has been very supportive which is always nice. Wednesday was not a nice day, move on. Pray that Thursday can pass by without too much opposition, then begin to plan the weekend and what you need to do next week to help out. Checked the money situation and seems I will need min £500 next week so at least that is possible and not as bad as I had expected although today could have been much better. News from Rob which is a bit unclear but some working from home allowed up to two days a week and might be returning to office, but I will not do that next week and see what the plans are in future. If I do have two days working at home will ask for Monday / Tuesday which will also help with the weekly gaming sessions. Liz thinks that this currently doesn't apply to us so will have to wait and see what happens in the coming week or two.
Work progresses at Plough Lane and new fixtures are out, the early "home" games will be played at QPR though after the confirmation of a ground sharing scheme for the short term.

2020 DIARY WEEK THIRTY FOUR 17th AUG - 23rd AUG Isolated WFH #22

Week 22 at home, still struggling with sleep and finding my peace but will have to keep on trying to get better. A poor weekend means a trip to Richmond to pay money into Bank on Monday then we'll see how the rest of your week turns out. If we can survive this week then the reward is a day off next Monday where hopefully I can plan a day out somewhere for a change. Apart from a number of people bugging me and moaning did manage to get through the day fine, just got a bit caught in the rain while in Richmond but that wasn't too bad either. Try and sleep and have a good Tuesday too if you can, even though I was up till about 3am I did then manage to sleep through to about 8am so not too bad, lets see how the rest of the day goes now. Got through the day somehow, then gaming session with guys, it's a bit rubbish to be fair only the banter keeping it going, might give it up but there's a break next week so maybe it will be fine on return. Slept a bit better Tuesday into Wednesday morning but all my money has gone so nothing now till next week. Talk about people returning to office soon, still hope I don't have to do that but it's clearly going to be a thing in the next week or two. Didn't enjoy the day, but survived it, will go out and get myself some shopping on Thursday too but been awake since about 4am so do not feel too great.
Day off trip out to Richmond to chill
Planning for the day off I have on Monday next week will be nice to get out, maybe to Richmond, be nice to sit in the park for a little while but also planning on going to Hanworth Crematorium as well as it's been a little while. Have been writing up horse racing blogs for weekend (York) and try find something to do for next week. Friday arrives, seems like the team are returning to the office next week but neither Liz nor I have heard anything and I'm off on Monday so hopefully will be another week for us. Been shopping, got dinner, need to find something for the weekend to do, certainly need to get my trains out to catalogue and also change some of the ones on display. Try and have a good weekend, sleep and rest.

2020 DIARY WEEK THIRTY THREE 10th AUG - 16th AUG Isolated WFH #21

Monday 10th August see's us enter the 21st week of working at home since the lock down, while I understand that some are back in the office this still doesn't appeal to us and hopefully we can keep going at home. David Amofah back from furlough and hope our talented UX designer is well and had a productive time off, let's see if we can have a good week or not, plenty to do but heat is a problem with lack of sleep. Thankfully over the weekend the money situation improved a little and early this week shall get some of that out to put away in tin, saving for later in year, top up Oyster card too and pay a little more off balances. Tuesday hopefully will be a better day too, gaming night on later with the lads, made changes to my character, see if you can stay with it. No sleep is terrible, I cannot cope, and lost a fair bit of the money I had although did clear Freemans [BNPL March 2021], also topped up Oyster with £20, and some money to tin for me so could have been much worse I guess. Tried to enjoy a good day, go out later and collect money then pick up lunch too, some bread, milk etc for weekend. Tuesday evening is a gaming night with guys, will see how the rest of the night goes wasn't too bad although still tired and uncomfortable was sleeping downstairs and although awake every 2-3 hours it was fine and was up ready for Wednesday ... begin with radio and check my money situation for the week ahead.
Think I need to get a new fan for home the larger one is not putting out any breeze though the smaller USB one is doing a great job while at home, good thunderstorm on Wednesday afternoon helped to clear the heat for a little while. Thursday morning another sleep downstairs not too bad but its not a long term solution, had plenty of work to do, also been out and picked up a few more supplies too. Have podcasts to listen too later tonight and see how night feels then, at least we reach Friday with money, food and some beers in for the weekend. Just try and sort out some sleep, clean up and then we will keep updating the trains into spreadsheets.

2020 DIARY WEEK THIRTY TWO 3rd AUG - 9th AUG Isolated WFH #20

Important to know if we still working at home this week which will be #20 in the work from home series, with the news from Boris Johnson on Friday it would appear that we are here for another couple of weeks at least as the numbers start to rise again not just in Uk but all over. Monday will see how I feel and what we can achieve this week not a good night with little sleep and up at 4am, hopefully the week will improve and it's clear we need to go out on Tuesday to Richmond to visit bank amongst other things. Another poor night lack of sleep but up and ready to go out in morning, headed out on buses and trains, nice and quiet and made it into Richmond for about 10am, Bank was pretty empty, got my money in and picked up some shopping in Tesco and head home. Indoors again by 11am and nothing missed by the looks of things. Feel better, money will be fine now, can pay other bills end of week too.
Tonight (Tuesday) is a gaming night with the lads bit of D&D [struggled in that] see how you feel and prepare for Wednesday. Wow did at least sleep a bit better although awake couple of times was able to go back off again. Feel tired though, managed to strip bedding and get washing done while Mrs H gone out to Kingston. See how today goes think about what I need to get in for the weekend. Will see if I need to go out on Thursday to get some supplies in although probably fine since I did a trip to Iceland for some dinners earlier. Money is again an issue for me, hopefully cleared funds on Thursday but that's pretty much all gone already and couple of weeks still to see out. Booked some days off to have something I can plan and hopefully will be able to get out and about soon. Aim for the weekend is to find something useful to do away from the computer screen, get the trains out again, as we need to catalogue them again having done so before only to lose that data when the old laptop ceased working. Made a start on the three different Gauges, the N Gauge one will take the longest as I have acquired a lot again. Updated blogs for horse racing and hope that covering that will help to distract me from losing yet more money, need to survive the next couple of weeks and pray we still working at home. Then try and be better in September. Friday / Saturday look like being very hot and not surprisingly had another difficult night with little sleep. Catch up on music and podcasts too then rest over weekend. Successful day on Saturday means the week ahead is a little better than originally planned, long may that joy continue.

2020 DIARY WEEK THIRTY ONE 27th JULY - 2nd AUG Isolated WFH #19

Week 19 working at home, though with changes being suggested for August 1st things might be changing sooner rather than later. Usually disappointment having been paid and lost it already, we need to survive this week, find small victories, and focus on work plus all the horse racing at both Galway and Goodwood festivals. Will be a difficult week again without much sleep or joy, at least we got on with Monday and find enough to do this week to help it to pass quickly enough, the opening evening of the Galway festival at least provided us with a few winners on paper and gets us up and running for the week. Goodwood begins on Tuesday and maybe that will also give us some pleasure.
Slightly better night sleep on Tuesday helped, and easing of the financial pressure as the refund from South Western Railway received into bank helps with the loss I made for myself last weekend ... or at least it would have done had I not spent loads more today and now yet again need to find about £90 more to see me right this month. Gaming night with guys later hopefully that will make us feel better, wasn't that great a night, and try for some sleep tonight which wasn't too bad as I was only up once about 3:30am and did get back off to sleep till alarm sounded at 8am. Wednesday more meetings and loads of noise from nearby digging / drilling work. More blogs to update for the two horse racing meetings at Goodwood and Galway. Went out for a walk for about an hour, nice and sunny out, got some wine and bits for the weekend ahead, sadly we still not feeling great and have plenty of worries the next three weeks need to be kinder to me. At least Thursday morning started a little better, need to find some money and hope that we not in office next week, that task has begun, see how things are by next Monday. Friday night very hot and humid up about 3am and might be a difficult day then see how your weekend pans out. With the news from Boris that we are sure to be locked down for two more weeks at least I can be fairly sure we not going back to the office next week now. So enjoyed the weekend having watched the F1 from Silverstone, and also the end of Goodwood races which wasn't too bad then it's the FA Cup Final between Arsenal and Chelsea.

2020 DIARY WEEK THIRTY 20th JULY - 26th JULY Isolated WFH #18

Yes it's now eighteen weeks of working at home and being isolated, so normal now that a return to commuting is not really going to be welcome but will probably be happening soon. Peaceful weekend all things considered, stumbling through the last week before pay day, but survived with some money at home, and bought few new things not least the arrival last week of a new laptop. Heard from my ex colleague Fabrizio too which was nice, had a call with Graham too and they all sound well which is great. Monday did not have a good night at all so been up and very tired, nice to have Amol back though as she's always very bright and cheerful, managed to get through the day also did a quick shop as well and picked up some supplies and lunch, Lee did another of his quiz nights which was enjoyable this time, new laptop seemed to hold up fine this time.
Let's see if Tuesday can be better in terms of sleep (not much) and also update listening to podcasts. Didn't have a great day of work as all calls and meetings. The evening slightly better with a D&D gaming night keeping us busy we even have multiple DM's now and more adventures planned. However still up from early hours and so very tired now, been out early for some shopping which is good, have enough coffee, dinners in but still need bread and few other bits and bobs but will go out for a walk on Friday sometime for these. Really need a rest, some sleep, to stop stressing about being at home too. Thursday means another month almost survived as paid on Friday we've some money at home still in the tin so there are small signs of improvement there as we roll on towards August with plans in place for the next few months to try and improve the position a little further more still. This weekend we can sort out some bills and rent money, then we have a busy week of horse racing to prepare for at Galway and Goodwood all week. Yes I have been struggling this week more than usual though lets see how the next week turns out for us.

2020 DIARY WEEK TWENTY NINE 13th JULY - 19th JULY Isolated WFH #17

This new week should have been a nice peaceful one with two days off Monday and Tuesday and while I still have the days off I am feeling stressed due to the demise of my laptop computer on Friday afternoon. Meant I had to order up a new one which hopefully will arrive sometime this week, but at a cost of £500 that I don't really have I shall have to increase payments to my Freemans account to over £100 a month from August. Thankfully I do have data backed up recently and will need a list of things to install once the new machine arrives which could be by Wednesday. Getting the docs, music and data from the back up will help though and should be back up and running in a few days once the new laptop arrives. Spoken with Vince too and that was good, will have another gaming session on Tuesday night this week, hopefully I will have been out on one of the days off I had, get some nice dinners in too. Try not to look at my work mails or slack until Wednesday so I can switch off for a few days. Popped out Monday morning and topped up my Oyster card as well as a little bit of shopping in Iceland but mostly lunch items and sundries, will need to get some bits later in week though. Struggling to sleep much this week, very warm at night and uncomfortable for the likes of me.
Class 33 Sultan in Civil Engineers livery
Up on Tuesday with another day off, and as I still waiting for new laptop to arrive spent the day playing with some of the N Gauge model trains giving as many of them as I can a good clean up, oiled and a decent run around my simple test track. Some of these will also go up on display on the window and in the coming months hope to get a display cabinet or something to show more of them.
Class 40 N Gauge with OO Gauge stock behind to show scale
Gaming with the guys tonight (Tuesday) then returning to work (at home that is) and hopefully the rest of the week will pass by fine. Gareth has flounced off again sadly, hopefully he is going to be fine and we pray that he returns soon (not the 20 years gap that we had last time) Struggled again with lack of sleep overnight, back to working now and aiming to catch up with some tickets. New Laptop arrived lunchtime so spent most of the afternoon getting it set up, plus I have a Kempton horse-racing meeting to blog later on too, got one winner but nothing else. Turn in for the night and try to sleep, then see how things go on Thursday (might need some shopping). Not as bad a night as recently, up and did stand-up meeting and a nice chat with Liz afterwards too. Went out lunchtime and got Iceland stuff in so fine for the weekend. Plenty of work to do and the afternoon was busy. Friday don't feel very well, plenty to do but really tired. Think I will just get through and call it a day then aim to rest over the weekend. Had a nice email from Fabrizio so have replied to him, now rest over the weekend (incl get a hair cut)

2020 DIARY WEEK TWENTY EIGHT 6th JULY - 12th JULY Isolated WFH #16

New week starts and still at home, very windy out there given it's summer, even so we've been out for a walk, have enough in for the week ahead and will hopefully have a better week of things. Didn't sleep that well to begin with, hope that improves, see how much you can get done today. Was going fairly well but several long meetings soon slowed that progress down, then the email about returning to the office came but hopefully it's still a few weeks away. Seek a better day on Tuesday, new sprint for work, plenty to do on other projects too, crack on and have a good day today. Will be on a call later with the guys for more gaming, hopefully that too will be fun and shall join in to feel more upbeat, it was fairly poor early on due to unknown issues, but we moved on and see how we do later. Did sleep better so that Wednesday morning seem brighter and ready for the day, shall get out for a little while to get few supplies, which was good despite the rain, picked up lunch and try to have a better afternoon.
The pubs are open, could do with a beer, though feel this lock-down has really affected me with my mental health as well as the physical well-being. Struggled during Wednesday night into Thursday morning up from about 3am, will be a long day ahead, some meetings no doubt, try and do two days of DBO Testing and switch off to everything else but as usual interruptions during the day, but managed to see it out and just Friday to go for this week now. Looking forward to having Monday and Tuesday off next week even though not going anywhere exciting just get out for a little while will feel good. Changed the trains over that are out on display, gave couple of them an oil and a quick run which was good, that will be the aim to do more on my days off and enjoy it. Have a good weekend x.

2020 DIARY WEEK TWENTY SEVEN 29th JUNE - 5th JULY Isolated WFH #15

Yes another week of working at home and we'll have passed the half way point of this year, and look forward to July, this week will see the Epsom Derby and Oaks run as racing continues to serve up it's biggest meetings, while the football also continues with Liverpool finally crowned Premier League Champions and relegation issues to be decided.
Monday started off feeling very low, thinking it'll be a long week ahead (it probably will be) but the day did pick up and we won a little money too which was nice and should help if we can manage not to lose it all again. Busy day, several live issues to deal with and then we'll try and have a pleasant night, maybe get some decent sleep for a change. Suddenly it's Tuesday which is the end of June, plenty more meetings at work, but should be feeling better. Will see if we can get some work done on issues, then get ready for some gaming tonight with the lads, sadly didn't really enjoy that at all but it's done and guys seemed to have fun. Slept through which is rare for me, must have been tired, and Wednesday has plenty of meetings at work and issues with wi-fi not helping us either, lost money so that didn't last long. plan on getting a few things either tomorrow or early Friday morning lets see if the evening can pick up a bit too, thankfully a bit better with the football winning. Been out and got food shopping done in Iceland as there was no queue, still plenty of work to do and hopefully Friday we can have a nice day and then get ready for the weekend with wine or beers. Got through to the weekend and will sit back and enjoy The Derby and Oaks this afternoon. Have a good weekend and although the pubs reopen today please be sensible.

2020 DIARY WEEK TWENTY SIX 22nd JUNE - 28th JUNE Isolated WFH #14

This week, how we doing, Monday needs to get me off on the right foot and hopefully less of the drama's that we had last week by all accounts. Should be a sunny week too so we ought to get out early one morning for some shopping in Tesco? Slightly better morning as have been able to sit down and focus a bit more, let us try and keep this going through the week. Tonight just rest, have a list of things to pick up maybe Tuesday if we can pop out, weather is nice and sunny so a bit of air outside will probably help.
Dropped William C a quick hello too, need to send a few emails out to likes of Jo Rand, and Uncle John. Hay fever beginning to play me up, still need to get out though. Tuesday night should be bit of gaming with the guys so hopefully that'll be fun, but sadly as Richard cannot attend we won't be playing tonight. Good chat with the guys though so that was fine and we'll continue the banter during the week with gaming later on. Wednesday wasn't feeling too good, meetings and things at work, losing money too wasn't nice but clawed a little bit back and paid on Thursday so will go out early morning and get money out for rent and for myself, plus some shopping too. Tired but got it done this morning and hopefully this will be a better end to the working week. Have a read of the things Vince sent through about D&D gaming. Friday feeling very tired, have a better day and drink plenty of water, plan weekend ahead look at other blogs.

Sunday, 21 June 2020

2020 DIARY WEEK TWENTY FIVE 15th JUNE - 21st JUNE Isolated WFH #13

This week is Royal Ascot with a big difference, no Royals, no crowds, no fashion. We'll follow it anyway and have Thursday / Friday off this week to chill out ... but staying home. Will give Graham a call towards the end of the week and see how they are, also John's birthday as well as my friend Julia so have sent cards. Feeling very tired on Monday and have plenty to get on with so try and clear a few things before your days off, written up blogs for Royal Ascot and will update results during the week.

Tuesday still nice and sunny, need to pop out later, and if I can have a good day at work we have a gaming night with guys tonight. Work wasn't that much fun, frustrating, but have got a few things in and will go for more shopping on Wednesday after which we can try and find some peace to enjoy the days off at the end of the week. This will also be the last week for Simon Lewis my "boss" for the past eighteen months but he's been taking a distant back seat for a while now and there will be no leaving do of course while the current crisis continues. No sign of returning to office so have ordered couple of bits for me online and then we can get some shopping in too on card saving funds on other card and cash in tin for another month. Lee did another quiz night on Wednesday which I tried to get into but bailed out when it stopped taking my correct answers is rather frustrating, especially when the gaming night was fine. Will skip these in future, question is what to do with days off on Thursday and Friday? Well Thursday surprised me by starting off with a £500 win on the casino bonus which I will try and put to good use today as well as taking out at least half of it. Raining today so quiet one at home and enjoy the peace forget about work today and enjoy the racing instead. Take away tonight I think from Just Eat especially if we can find a winner later this afternoon, not surprisingly didn't keep that money and blown it all in double quick time again. A quiet weekend ahead now and we had a video call with the office team to say farewell to Simon. Not very happy, but maybe the next month can see us improve a bit, still have money in tin, money in M&S account and not using the pay day advance accounts now. If/When the banks reopen we need to be careful. Think about using that wisely and have a few days off in July too would be nice to do something good.
